RKI gets a new name

RKI has conducted a survey of all KBS employees in its search for new
station name following its merger with the overseas service TV channel
KBS World last feb, RKI has announced to rename it to reflect new
stature & mission. In the survey a majority of those polled favoured
"KBS WORLD RADIO" among 10 options named. RKI will be
moving ahead with re-naming process by next week.

Meanwhile RKI will launch its 11th language service in Vietnamese
from March 3rd - the 79th anniversary of KBS the mother company
of RKI. From this day a 30 minutes long Vietnamese language
program will be broadcasted on 9640 khz at 10 pm Vietnamese
local time.
